Updates (With Some Exciting News)

I turned to Chase the other day and told him, "I feel like my life is just one big party right now." His response was.. "yea, me too. It's fun."

Remember when I said that my life was going to be crazy this summer? Welll, I wasn't kidding around. For the past 6 weeks, my weekends have been consumed with wedding-related activities or family events. I had been planning on catching a breather this past weekend, but then we decided to move to a house on the lake, buy a motorcycle, schedule a newborn photoshoot, and have a wedding shower for my sister (and every single one of those things happened on Saturday)! So, it looks like our break won't come until the middle of August now, when we get to celebrate our one-year anniversary.

And let me back up... you did read that right. We moved to the lake and bought a motorcycle. Not just any lake or motorcycle, but one of the clearest, calmest, lakes in Minnesota, and we are on the East side.. meaning that we get to watch sunsets from our huge deck (or big flat backyard) every single night (#mylifeisyourvacation). I teared up a little when we signed the lease... It's our dream home (any lake-house with a few rooms to expand is our dream home) and we are so incredibly blessed and lucky to be in this new place. And that motorcycle... well, it just happens to be the one single motorcycle I have wanted ever since I had an interest in motorcycles.

I feel like too many amazing things are happening in our life together right now. It's wonderful, and God is so incredibly amazing. I wish I could splurge and talk about all of the other amazing things He has done in our marriage and new life together that I have been praying so hard for, but I just can't and won't and so that's that. Don't get me wrong, there are still things in our life that we need prayer for and not everything is perfect, but hey.. we're human and need struggles to make us stronger. Right? Right.

Yesterday we were able to have brunch with Chase's parents and then spend the entire day out on the boat. I was really bumming (and may have actually cried a tiny bit) because it was absolutely gorgeous out on Saturday... which I know is nice for moving and whateveritwasannoying. Every single nice day we have had so far (which isn't many), I have had to work or have been busy... And Sunday was supposed to be stormy all day (like every other day, which has now caused roads to be shut down and house basements evacuated and I'm considering on building a replica of Noah's Ark because of all the flooding going on). But, it actually turned out to be a beautiful Sunday and we spent it out on the boat with our new best friends and now neighbors (we will call them Vinclie.. pronounced Vince-lee), and my sister (who is now home for the entire summer... helping me plan her wedding). It was so nice being able to wear a bikini all day and soak up that Vitamin D. I needed that. And we were even able to get a motorcycle ride in afterwards.

Now on to this week... living out of a house with only my clothes, food, and a bed. It's the essentials, people. We will be sitting on the floor for dinner and cleaning as much as we can.

This weekend I get to stand by two of my best friends for their weddings.. one on Friday and one on Saturday (and I just need to let it be known how incredible my husband is with planning on chauffeuring me around and planning out where he needs to be and when while I'm bridesmaid-ing). Then next Monday we are officially out of our current house and into our new lake-house on July 1st!

So don't mind us while we are continuing this crazy, mostly hectic, life.
